MARK D'AMICO - TEACHER/COACH
Mark D’Amico served at Lisle High School as a Physical Education/Driver’s Education instructor and coach from 1984-2012. Coach D’Amico coached football, where he worked with the 1985 IHSA state semifinal football team, track and field and, most predominantly, boys basketball. Coach D’Amico served as Lisle’s Head boys basketball coach from 1984-2006 where he amassed a record of 410-195 (68%). The Lions had 13 twenty win seasons under Coach D’Amico and 18 winning seasons. During the 1996-97 season, the Lions finished with a school best 26-2 record. During his tenure, the Lions won 10 conference championships, 6 IHSA Regional titles and 1 IHSA Super-Sectional title. Coach D’Amico was inducted into the Illinois Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007.
