Most of Francis David’s high school career was spent in the band. For four years he played euphonium and trombone, played in the jazz band, as well as the pit band for every musical. During his sophomore year, he competed in the prestigious IMEA and made District Band. His junior year he qualified as an All-State player, where he was ranked second in state, and his senior year, Francis was named the top euphonium player in the state and auditioned to play with the All-State Orchestra. It was a tremendous challenge and Francis was successful, making it the high point in his musical career. In his time at Lisle, Francis also started teaching music lessons, competed as a wrestler, and was involved in Key Club and National Honor Society.
