Mr. Grant Fitzgerald - Class of 2011 (Athletics)
When Grant Fitzgerald left Lisle in the spring of 2011, he had been the team captain for the Lisle Boys Soccer Team for three straight years and had won the schools second IHSA State Championship, the first in twenty-five years, in the fall of 2010. Grant is Lisle’s all-time leading scorer in boys soccer scoring 98 goals, and was voted Daily Herald All-Area, Honorable Mention All-State and the team MVP for two years. Grant was All-Conference in the Interstate Eight Conference all four years of his high school career. Grant was also a state qualifier for track in two events his senior year (400 and Pole Vault)
Besides his tremendous soccer career at Lisle, Grant was a member of Student Congress (President his senior year) all four years, the prestigious Math Team his freshmen and sophomore year, and the track team, the Ecology Club and National Honor Society his junior and senior year. He was in the top 10 of his graduating class and was awarded the Brian Piccolo Award by the Carlin Nalley Foundation. The Piccolo Award is given to outstanding male senior athletes at Lisle High School.
